EY GDS reaffirms its commitment to Argentina by announcing an ambitious expansion of its Global Delivery Services (GDS) center in the country. This strategic decision further establishes the firm as a key player in the local knowledge economy ecosystem.
Established in Buenos Aires in 2011, EY’s center in Argentina has proven to be a strategic global hub. Originally set up to serve member firms in areas such as tax and technology, EY GDS Argentina has experienced steady growth, incorporating new service lines and expanding its geographic reach.
According to Verónica Asla, EY GDS Latam Leader, who led the launch of the center in Argentina from the beginning, the idea of setting up a global center in the country emerged in 2011 following a study that analyzed various Latin American nations. Ultimately, Buenos Aires captivated the evaluators, who also found strong commitment from EY Argentina’s partners and a welcoming attitude toward these industries from the then Government of the City.

The center, which initially aimed to employ 2,000 people, now has 2,500 team members and plans to grow to between 5,000 and 6,000 professionals over the next 3 to 5 years. This new phase of growth involves doubling the workforce and focuses on delivering internal services to EY firms primarily in the United States and Europe.
This expansion aligns with a global trend of nearshoring and distributed growth, and Argentina, given the new political and economic landscape, is now favorably positioned on this map. It is expected that this favorable environment will continue to attract strategic investments that leverage the country’s highly skilled talent and solid infrastructure.
With this move, EY GDS not only reinforces its confidence in the capabilities of Argentine professionals, but also contributes to the development of the local economy and the strengthening of Argentina’s role in the global services arena.
