The Evolution of the Labor Market
The labor market continues to evolve, with deeper transformations in hiring dynamics. In this context, the international human resources and payroll management firm Deel released a new edition of its Global Hiring State Report 2024.

According to the data collected, Argentina maintained its position as the country in the region with the highest number of workers hired by foreign companies and managed to secure a spot in the global top five in a ranking that encompasses 150 nations.

The Evolution of the Labor Market
Hiring managed through Deel for overseas jobs saw an increase of 54% in the last year. The majority of Argentine talent was recruited by companies from the United States and Mexico, although opportunities also grew from Paraguay, France, and India.
Additionally, 94% of these professionals opted to receive their payments in dollars, while only 6% chose to receive them in pesos.
On the other hand, Argentine companies also increased their hiring of global talent: the number of companies hiring professionals from abroad grew by 14% in 2024. Most of these contracts were made with workers from the United States, Uruguay, and Chile, with a notable demand for system engineers.

Buenos Aires: The Preferred City for Remote Work
The report also highlights that Buenos Aires leads the global ranking of most chosen cities for remote work for international companies. Following it are London, Bogotá, Lahore (Pakistan), and São Paulo.
In a new development, Córdoba and Rosario entered the eighth and ninth positions, reflecting that relocating to large urban centers is no longer essential to access better job opportunities.
While markets like the Philippines and the United States have a higher demand for this profession, the hiring of Argentine accountants by foreign companies grew by 87% in the last year. Mexico and Singapore also appear in the top five countries adding the most accounting talent to their ranks.
This confirms that remote employment is diversifying and is no longer reserved exclusively for technology profiles.

The Boom of Generation Z
When analyzing the age of professionals hired in Argentina through Deel, it is noted that the segment with the highest growth was Generation Z, with a 112% increase in the last year.
Following them are millennials (54%) and Generation X (37%). To a lesser extent, boomers also recorded a 10% increase in their hiring. In line with this trend, the income of Generation Z saw the highest rise during the same period, with a 10% improvement.
