The tech company Tietoevry Create, the digital consulting and software engineering division of the Finnish group Tietoevry, is officially launching operations in Buenos Aires. The company plans to hire around 300 people over the next three years.

Argentina: A Key Talent Hub

“Latin America is a key talent hub for us,” explained Petr Grätz, Head of Delivery Operations Americas, to LA NACION. “As we expand from the Nordic countries—Finland, Sweden, and Norway—into Western Europe and the United States, we need more capacity and options to serve clients in this time zone.”

The quality of Argentine talent was highlighted by the executives during the project presentation: ‘Argentina plays a vital role in our global strategy, not only because of its technological talent but also for the cultural richness and unique perspectives its people bring to our teams and clients. The values we see in Argentina—collaboration, creativity, and resilience—reflect the very heart of Tietoevry Create,’ said Josh Marquart, Head of Americas Market.

“In a world of constant transformation, we see opportunities in change. Argentina’s dynamic environment and regional influence make it a key hub for innovation, knowledge sharing, and the expansion of our global capabilities. By integrating Argentina into our network, we strengthen our ability to create real impact in the markets while building lasting value for our teams and clients,” he added.

This new hub complements the company’s existing presence in Latin America. Tietoevry Create has operated in Brazil since 2021 and Paraguay since 2023. Around 10 designers work in the Paraguay office. “After extensive studies and analyses last year, we concluded that Argentina is the best next step for our expansion,” the company said.

The strategic role of the Buenos Aires office

From the Buenos Aires office, Tietoevry Create will initially support projects in telecommunications and healthcare. Later, the company plans to expand into other industries, such as finance. Key clients include AstraZeneca, Volvo, and Panasonic.

“We want to support multiple industries,” said Josh Marquart, Head of Americas Market. “Our U.S. clients are very pleased with our results, and the design team here is excellent. We also aim to establish programs with local universities and companies. These programs will help develop the talent we need for future industrial technology projects.”

Training as a Competitive Advantage

Training is a key differentiator for the company in a competitive market. “Learning and development are central to our value proposition. Artificial intelligence is everywhere, so we provide online courses and training. Project managers, technicians, and designers use AI daily to improve efficiency and productivity. AI creates opportunities. Training ensures we can apply it creatively,” they explained.

Tietoevry Create’s Philosophy

Founded in 2019 from the merger of Tieto and Evry, the company’s name reflects its philosophy: “Tieto” means knowledge, and “Evry” (from “everyone”) represents inclusion. Its motto, “knowledge for all,” guides a global strategy that combines technological innovation, sustainability, and cultural diversity.
